The farmhouse is located nex to the Butron River just 1 km from the spectacular medieval castle.
There is a trail along the river that connects to the cottage with the village of Plentzia which has a wonderful beach, shops and restaurants to taste the famous Basque cuisine
The house is fully furnished, has 4 bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and an additional room with 6 bunk beds

Summary: We had a wonderful two weeks at Caserio Butron. The property is huge and really well appointed and the surrounding grounds have to be seen to be believed. For two of our foster children this was their first trip overseas and we all had an incredible time relaxing, playing ball games and paddling on the river. Trips included Bilbao on the metro to visit the Guggenheim and Cabárceno animal park in Santander. The beaches at Plenzia/Gorliz are great but be prepared to use Google translate to book parking if your Spanish is rusty!
