Situated in the beautiful Dordogne, Le Gite du Castang is a luxury self catering cottage on our 4 hectare property. The cottage is newly renovated and has 2 en suite bedrooms, and a large open plan kitchen/dining/living room. The cottage is fully equipped and also includes a separate 3rd bedroom with large ensuite shower room, perfect for the Grandparents! Outside there is a large private terrace which looks over fields and walnut trees. About 25 metres from the cottage is our beautiful new heated swimming pool. We are situated on a very quiet lane, about 1 km from Coux-et-Bigaroque, a small typical Perigordine village. Being in the heart of the Perigord Noir, we are close to the Vezere and Dordogne rivers - great for canoeing! Nestled in the beautiful Valley of a Thousand Castles, Le Gite Du Castang is within half an hour of great restaurants, spectacular historical places of interest, and there are of course, lovely walks in our peaceful, rural surrounds. We are delighted to add that Le Gite du Castang has been officially classified - Classement Officiel des Hebergements Touristiques - 4 Stars.

Summary: Very comfortable accommodation in a lovely setting, within easy reach of all areas. Su and Chris were great hosts, very helpful with recommendations for activities and dinner reservations. They made our dog very welcome and the little extras on arrival was a very nice touch. Highly recommended would definitely stay again.
