Our comfortable 19th-century home offers a cozy sanctuary after touring the sites of Cooperstown. Situated between downtown Cooperstown and the Cooperstown Dreams Park, it is a home run location for summer fun and relaxation.
On the first floor enjoy a fully appointed eat-in kitchen, formal dining room, large living room with comfortable furniture, a half-bath with washer and dryer, and a sun-porch. The second floor includes a full bath, a master bedroom with queen bed, a second bedroom with two twin beds, and a double bedroom.
We encourage our guests to relax and enjoy this well-maintained antique house. As nice as it is, the house is not for everyone. Built in stages during the early to mid-19th century, the house has floors with character (not level) and an older kitchen (yes, we like the late 1950s stove). Amenities include a large flat screen TV with satellite, WIFI, air-conditioning, and off-street parking. Directly behind the garage is a large field where kids can run and down the road is the Susquehanna River.
Best of all, Cooperstown is a dream. It offers baseball games, the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Farmers’ Museum (a great outdoor history museum), the incredible Fenimore Art Museum, the Glimmerglass Opera House, Lake Otsego, several golf courses, Glimmerglass State Park, and so much more. For adults, just down the road are four breweries – perfect places to go on a hot summer evening . . . or bring back a growler and enjoy.
