The Domaine de Lascours is a former 16th century priory with almost 10 acres of rolling hills at an altitude of 1500 feet, in the heart of the Cevènne mountains. In the 1960's a wealthy industrialist from Alès bought and converted it into his family home. The present owners bought the property 30 years ago, and created a family vacation home.

The terraced property is filled with nooks and crannies, beautiful meadows, three ponds and even a small waterfall when it rains! There is a small wooden hut for a children's playhouse. The large swimming pool (40'x20') pool is equipped with lounging chairs, a bar and two summer rooms for outdoor living. There is an orangery and even a kitchen garden for your use.

The house has 4300 square feet and can comfortably accommodate 14 people. If need be, there is a sofa bed for an extra 2 people. There are 6 large bedrooms. Two are on the ground floor, each with an ensuite bathroom. The other 4 bedrooms are on the second floor and share a large bathroom with shower. One bedroom is dormitory style, with 4 single beds for children. The other three are spacious and have double beds.
On the ground floor, there is a recreation room with a bar and table football. Two leather armchairs and a table with two chairs allow you to relax and play cards, dice and other games. There is a turntable and an iPod stand for listening to music. This room connects with the terrace where there is a shaded table and chairs. The ideal room for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening!

In the entertainment room, there are sofa and chairs, a TV (with a satellite dish for children's shows as well as many other channels), a DVD player and a selection of films and games for children and adults.
On the ground floor there are two more rooms with ample seating. Beautiful old tile floors, a stone fireplace and armoire bring charm to the room. The living room is also equipped with a TV with DVD player and satellite channels. Adjacent is the large dining room that can comfortably seat 14. The farm house style kitchen has a table for 8, a large fireplace and is fully equipped.

The house is an ideal place for a family reunion or a group of friends with children. The calm surroundings, the beauty of the views from the terraces and the charm of the house, will give a unique and special character to your experience here. Children can be free to run and play in the fields and in the little cabin. Or families can walk together throughout the grounds, enjoy the pool, or spend time in the house with the TV and games. Adults will appreciate the space, the beautiful kitchen and the eating and entertainment areas. No need to leave the house, as everything is there to make you feel comfortable and well cared for.
