Nearby towns offer picturesque village squares and regular market days. Whether your trip is in the height of summer or during the winter, there's often a festival or concert being held locally.....Guitar, Art Jazz and Country Music festivals to name but a few. The area is renowned for exhibiting its culture via these 'fête's' and the ' Puy L'Évêveque' fête is a fabulous 4 day extravaganza of music, wine, food and other activities culminating in a world class fireworks display. This all takes place around the beginning of August.
The landscape provides great cycling opportunities for both road and mountain bikers with a multitude of off road tracks covering hills and forest and due to the distinct lack of traffic & beautiful views of the local chateaus road biking is a real pleasure. So whether you are a regular cyclist or just fancy a relaxing ride along the converted railway there are beautiful views around every corner.
