La Brousse Cottage is nestled in a small hamlet, completely surrounded by nature. This charming cottage enjoys a preserved rural setting, ideal for a peaceful, relaxing and intimate stay.
You can enjoy a heated and secure swimming pool, perfect for unwinding.
The cottage is located in the heart of a region rich in historical sites, beautiful natural landscapes and many activities: walking, sightseeing, local food and wine tasting… something for everyone, adults and children alike.
Labrousse Cottage (New Aquitaine) is an excellent base for discovering many sites of medieval heritage (Collonges-la-Rouge, Rocamadour, Curemonte, Turenne…) as well as a protected natural environment (bird reserves, lakes, woods, rivers) and numerous outdoor activities: kayaking and canoeing on the Dordogne River, fishing, caving, hiking, golf and much more.
The gîte, located at the end of the hamlet of Labrousse (with its small château and two other houses), can accommodate 1 to 6 guests.
This centuries-old stone house is surrounded by a 1,600 m² private garden, set in the middle of fields and woodland, and features a saltwater swimming pool (6.36 m x 6.36 m). The pool is secured with a safety cover compliant with EU standards.
The three bedrooms, all with access to the terrace, offer great comfort with two double beds and two single beds. The bathroom is equipped with two showers, a washbasin and a toilet.
The cosy living room has a fireplace, a new flat-screen TV and a DVD player. There is also Wi‑Fi internet access.

Summary: Set in a beautiful location. Quirky layout; you have to go outside to access the bedrooms, but this is part of its rustic charm. We loved the market town of Martel, and canoeing down the Dordogne. The house was clean and the kitchen well equipped, except it needs a decent set of kitchen knives. Although the listing says departure is at 11.00 am we left earlier because the caretaker/cleaner stood over us from 09.30 until we left. Slightly awkward. But minor niggles aside, this is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of France and this house puts you bang in the middle of it.
