The spacious log cabin overlooks the Woodford River on the Shannon-Erne waterway in the heart of the Cavan/Leitrim Lakeland. It is approximately 4 miles from the town of Ballyconnell where there are shops, pubs and restaurants. There are opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing and boating on site and close to the area there are golf courses and horse riding. The cabins are about a half-hour drive from Cavan town with cinema, swimming pool and parks, etc. Enniskillen and Marble Arch caves are a short drive away, and there are also forest parks and castles to explore in the nearby countryside.
The cabin is wheelchair accessible and there is a ground-floor bedroom and en-suite shower room. Upstairs there is another double bedroom and a twin, so 6 people can sleep comfortably, there is also an upstairs mezzanine area with a double sofa bed. Travel cots are also available on request. Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen/living area with log-burning stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and electric hob and oven. There is a utility room with washing machine and there are 2 TV/DVD players plus a selection of books and board games, for quality family time.
Bedlinen and towels are provided free of charge and we also provide pots, pans, plates, dishes and cutlery - everything you need for your stay. There is a veranda and balcony with outdoor seating so you can sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the boats go by, while keeping an eye on the children playing on the lawn in front. We have a selection of bikes available for you to use during your stay so your break can be invigorating as well as relaxing!
