The property is an authentic house (Mas de la Combe cachee) which has been carefully restored to retain its traditional charm including original stoned cheminees combined with modern fixtures and equipment to meet your every need.
The property and its 1/4 acre garden is in a little hamlet in the country five minutes from Villefranche de Rouergue through which the river Aveyron flows.
It is a very quiet place where you can hear birds singing, and look at the stars in the sky.
At Villefranche is a wonderful weekly market within its cobbled square, as well as an excellent choice of shops, restaurants and cafés.
South of the town, the Aveyron valley becomes increasingly picturesque. You can hire canoes on the river but by car there is masses to explore. Follow the river past Najac into the limestone gorges of the river.
DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
The house has stone steps, that lead up to a stone terrace, onto which the sitting room opens through an arched doorway. This room has a stone fireplace, a sofa, and a TV. A door leads through to the kitchen/dining room that has fitted cupboards, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a microwave and oven. There is a separate WC and a door leading to the swimming pool and its beautiful terrace. Most of the guests enjoy to eat beside the swimming pool.
On the first floor is a mezzanine double bedroom and an en-suite bathroom/WC.
Steep, open tread stairs rise to the second floor, which has a twin bedroom and a shower room/WC.
There is central heating and WI-FI.
(It is also possible to rent a small house (suitable for 2 more guests) just beside the main house. Please feel free to ask for availability.)
