Welcome to our newly renovated riverfront home. Come and enjoy the beauty of the Adirondack mountains and the serenity of the Sacandaga River right outside your door. This is the perfect place to come and unwind, spend some relaxing time with the family or explore the great outdoors.
This is a beautiful four season home right off of a local town road. The home sleeps 4 adults and 2 children comfortably with two queen size beds and a twin over full bunk bed. Our home features a 1st floor master bedroom with queen size bed with an amazing panoramic view of the river. There is a second bedroom on the first floor with bunk beds (Twin over Full). The upper level consists of an additional bedroom with a queen size bed and loft area to relax and read your favorite novel.
The living room contains a large flat screen tv, Wifi, DVD player, Netflix and HBO for our guests enjoyment. Don't be surprised if you catch yourself snoozing on the recliner while enjoying a fire from the propane gas stove.
The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishware, cookware, and has all the amenities of home.
The enclosed sun drenched porch has a full size dining room table to enjoy a wonderful meal with your family or play your favorite board games. Two leather chairs and a view of the river will greet you after a day of exploring the beauty of the outdoors. This is one of our favorite areas in our home to relax and unwind.
Enjoy sitting outside under the stars and build yourself a campfire in our firepit to keep toasty warm. Roast some marshmallows and share some quality time with your friends and family.
Lake Algonquin and Wells Town Beach are a very short distance away and easily accessible. Griffin Gorge, Auger Falls and numerous hiking trails are all a short drive away. If you're feeling more adventurous head up past Indian Lake and experience breath taking scenery and world-class whitewater rafting on the Hudson River Gorge. We're also not far from Gore and Oak Mountain for summer activities and world class skiing in the winter.
Wells is a small community but it is full of charm. There is a small cafe in town with great breakfast and lunch. Two local general stores for the basic essentials and plenty of places to get ice cream in the summer. We are also within a 20 minute drive to Northville and Speculator. Both of these towns have restaurants, grocery stores, and coffee shops for your convenience. Looking for a day trip we are an hour away from Lake George and two hours to Lake Placid.
This is a non-smoking home and pets are not allowed. Sorry there are no exceptions here given our young son has severe asthma and pet allergies.
Due to the current situation, we are following CDC guidelines for cleaning between guests. We use disinfectant wipes and cleaners as well as Lysol Sanitizer for the laundry for our guests safety. We are spacing out our reservations to allow 24 hours between guests.
