Summary: We share many of the positive reviews of other visitors: The area is quiet, with a beautiful view. It's conveniently located is less than a half hour from Corning and Watkins Glen. We didn’t swim in the water but the pond was perfect for kayaking. The property has three kayaks available to use, which we did. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening/watching all of the different birds. And at night, the sky was crystal clear, with virtually no light pollution. The fire pit area was a nice size to have 4-6 people around it. The beds are very comfortable, and the house is generally well maintained. At one point, there was an issue with the refrigerator which required us to contact the owner. However, they responded immediately and had a very nice and person come out that day to repair it. There were a couple of issues that were more than just minor inconveniences. The house AC unit isn’t able to keep up with the entire house. A second portable unit was provided but stopped running when it needed to be drained. And draining it was a cumbersome process. In addition, there was a window AC in the master, which meant that the only window in the room could not be opened up. There is a significant lack of kitchen ware. For a three bedroom house there is barely enough dishes, glasses and silverware for one meal. Finally, we know that a lake house may attract a lot of bugs, but the window sills should have been cleaned before our arrival. Instead they were lined with dead bugs.
