Welcome to one of the best locations for a family vacation. With LIMITED water views from every room. There is something for everyone, all the amenities you need while maintaining that small town feel.
The Blue House provides the perfect location for your family to kick back and relax! Park your car and don't get back in it until you leave. The beach is less than one block away!! Bring your boat, the public boat ramp is very close. There are places to eat within 1/4 mile. Bring your bike and enjoy all CB has to offer.
There's room for everyone as we comfortably accommodate up to 13 guests in five bedrooms with 8 beds. You'll enjoy the modern farmhouse décor with warm wood accents.
The property was just completely renovated and nearly every bit is brand new. With a modern but comfortable feel. Everything you need is at your fingertips.
Walk to the "South Beach" less than a block away located on the river. On the bay side of the peninsula, also only a block away from the house, is a free public boat ramp. There is also a playground across the street and a great food truck that is open every day. Take a short quarter mile walk down to the tiki bar and enjoy some food and drinks while sitting on their private beach.
Live the river life. Enjoy great fishing in many locations across the peninsula, paddle board, kayak, just float in a raft or tube, or just go for a splash. You can't go wrong here.
Bring your bikes and have access to all that Colonial Beach has to offer. The boardwalk and main restaurant strip is less than 1.5 miles away. Once you arrive, you can park your car and just enjoy life at the beach. Or try living the Colonial Beach lifestyle and rent a golf cart, you can drive anywhere in the Town of Colonial Beach with one.
If you want to jump in your car for a short drive and discover the rich history of the area, including the birthplace of George Washington. Don't miss out on Belle Grove plantation or one of the wineries, VA is after all one of the top wine destinations behind California.
After running around all day, you may want to enjoy some of the great restaurants in the area, including my personal favorite, Oomboon.
Parking is ample. There is a long pull through driveway that can accommodate several cars and/or a truck towing a boat. You can park 2 cars in front of the house as well and another in the paved driveway.
Other things to note
The house is a one level home, but does have 1 step in two different places.
**Please note that currently no cable or fiber optics have been run to the house. DISH TV and WiFi is provided, but the only option for the house is satellite internet. This works for many items you may wish, but please be aware if you are a heavy internet user that it will not be as fast as some internet providers. **
