Our lake front house is roomy yet cozy with places & spaces to lounge, rest, read and hang out.
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots/pans/baking dishes/accessories/utensils for just about any type of cooking. Or, get the full camp experience and cook on the charcoal grill or over the large fire pit.
The screened-in porch is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee, read, relax, and enjoy nature but inside. We've included a pair of binoculars as the bird watching from that level can be spectacular, along with watching the fish jump in the late afternoon.
We provide two kayaks, floatation devices and a float platform (summer season) for ALL the outdoor fun. Bring your fishing gear as the fishing in our cove is OUTSTANDING. Note: Kayaking and swimming not available during winter months.
Guests have full run of the house and grounds, down to the dock. Note: What is referred to as the “red line” runs the lower edge of the property and all around Rough River is a government easement that anyone can walk. Guests can use the dock to swim, fish, launch kayaks, etc. but you CANNOT DOCK A BOAT. You can be picked up or dropped off by boat.
There are 45 stairs and 70 total steps going down to the house from where you park and the yard slopes down to the lake as well (see photos). If you stay here you MUST BE ABLE TO CLIMB STAIRS. There are rocks leading to the dock - we provide walking sticks to help with stability if you need it.

You are coming to a RURAL and NATURAL AREA. Expect bugs, critters and possibly wildlife.
Our property boundary runs from the cedar trees on the left and the edge of the house on the right (the swing facing the water is on our property). Please be courteous and respectful of our neighbors.
