Rentals by Halcyon Leisure, Maison Catus is set in a very private location at the end of a small country lane about 5km from the small Lot town of Catus, and about 10km north of the regional centre of Cahors. Other than the possibility of farmers accessing land, there is no passing traffic and Guests should enjoy peace and privacy at all times.

Well equipped for family holidays, besides the sun trap 10 x 5m swimming pool (Exclusive to Guests) there is a full size hard tennis court for Guests to enjoy. (Racquets and balls provided)

Originally a farm house, many of the traditional features have been preserved and there is a lovely lazy rural feel to the property where families and other groups can relax away from everyday life and beside the pool and tennis court there are quiet walks all around with Lac Vert, a large leisure lake, only a 20 minute woodland walk away

Being near limestone country, beside the many attractions along the River Lot there are caves to explore, le Gouffre Padirac and Pech Merle to name two, and the magnificent cliff village of Rocamadour is a half hour drive away, as is the scenic village of St Cirq La Popie perched above the River Lot.
There are also several prehistoric sites nearby such as Le Plage de Pterosaurs (Pterosaur Beach) and a little further afield are the world famous caves at Lascaux with their prehistoric wall paintings.

This part of France is renowned for food and wine, and weekly markets are held around the area on most days: Cahors has two markets a week, and the market at Prayssac every Friday is noted for fresh quality food.
