Peninsula Place at Bernard's Landing is a large waterfront townhome that lives like a luxury home! Sleeps 8 (10 if 2 of the children are age 3 or under). Easy access with no steps. Walk in on ground level with views of water all around. The main level has a King Master Suite and second Queen bedroom, kitchen, dining, living, dinette, and deck with seating. The upper level has another King Master Suite/full bath with balcony and a Children's bedroom with two twin beds and a pack n play, changing table, and half bath. The lake level basement has a sitting area, Queen bed, full bath, laundry, and patio seating with grill.
There is room to both spread out and come together as you spend time on the deck overlooking spectacular lake views that include the length of Smith Mountain and wide water all around! With so much to see and do around Smith Mountain Lake and in the resort itself, your family will have the time of their lives.....literally!!

DINING: An onsite restaurant, Napoli by the Lake, is well reviewed and will take your lakeside experience to the next level!
BOATING: Courtesy docks are located just outside of your unit, so be sure to bring a boat or plan to rent one onsite or at one of the many marinas so you can enjoy the sights and fun on the lake. There are at least 10 restaurants that you can boat to! The resort offers an offloading ramp and empty trailer storage during your stay for a fee if you register online for a decal. FISHING: The lake has outstanding fishing for bass, catfish, and the trophy striper bass. For ensured success, you may want to hire a fishing guide for a 1/2 day trip. These book up so I encourage you to do your research early. Fishing is allowed from shore or the courtesy docks when not filled with boats. Virginia law requires those 16 yrs or older to purchase a fishing license. This can be purchased online.
Nearby Westlake is the lake's premier shopping area with Kroger, CVS, movie theater, restaurants, bait shop, and more. Bridgewater Plaza is another 8 minutes to the north and has several restaurants, surf shop, ice cream, pizza, bungee tramp, and mini golf. There is a local alpaca farm, Booker T. Washington historic site, and the World War II Memorial in Bedford and more to visit. There is a public golf course at Westlake also!
We have provided kayaks and lifejackets in our the lower level storage areas. Virginia law and common sense requires a lifejacket when using a kayak. You will want to supervise children at all times around water. There is no barrier between the home and the water.
There is a beach right near the townhome and beach toys for your use. The larger public beach can be accessed by parking near Napoli restaurant.
Please plan to respect neighbors who are full time residents and follow Property Association rules. No excessive noise after 10pm, no parties or formal events, no pets, no fireworks, no tents can be erected in the yard, and you will need to remove belongings from yard and beach each evening.
