Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: This property is in a good location, close to Jones Beach, and is cheaper than any other rental in the area but you do get what you pay for.
Negative: This house definitely received the landlord special in certain areas and the pictures are much nicer than in real life. Light switches and outlets were painted over, one door was unfinished and the doorknob was missing parts, the walls were scuffed and needed a paint job, paint was chipping in areas, it smelled slightly damp, and I went to open a closet door and it wasn’t even attached to the door frame. The towel rod in the upstairs bathroom wasn’t attached to the wall correctly and there was no fan in the bathroom or central AC. In the downstairs bathroom the mirror was so high you couldn’t use it so there was nowhere good in the house to get ready for an event. The stairs leading to the second floor were also very steep and slanted.
Summary: The pictures look better than in real life and the property could use some cosmetic updates but you can’t beat the price
