Summary: This cottage is clean and was well appointed to suit my family of five. Nice and close to the beach, and the deck is fantastic for morning coffee or afternoon relaxation in the sun. We spent a lot of time out there. There were a few disappointments though. First, the washer and dryer are in the basement and are shared with the people renting the other unit. We lucked out that it was a single guy so he didn’t use it much. The outdoor shower wasnt really usable because there was this big timing device for the garden sprinklers in it. Also the grass hadn’t been weedwacked/mowed and it felt like we were in the marshes! So we missed having that. We also had to call the realtor for gas for the grill- not a huge deal as the realtor was extremely responsive. I think the place itself is best suited for two families that know each other due to the lack of privacy on the deck. However, it was very nice and it worked fine for us as we did know this ahead of time. Overall if the outdoor shower was a bit nicer, we’d consider renting this again with friends or family to share the other side!
