The fifth bedroom is a master suit with walk in shower and to die for cast iron claw foot tub. Situated on private, gently sloping beach. Put your towel or a provided beach chair on the beach to watch the sunrise or the dolphins on their morning commute right by the property. Sand not your thing? Then sit on your private beach deck overlooking the water or one of the three covered porches or the covered patios and take it all in. Want a break for the beach? Enjoy playing pool, board games or watching a movie on the 86 inch TV in the game room. House has 1G Wi-Fi and the TV in the main den, the game room and all 5 bedrooms. This house boasts a third floor main living area with open kitchen and includes an elevator to access all three floors and assist with bringing in the groceries. A 26KW standby generator will assure continued comfort if one of the occasional summer storms knocks-out power to the island. Feeling adventurous, take out the two supplied kayaks or throw in the supplied crab pots, go fishing, enjoy a fire in the fire pit or watch the sail boat regattas that take place on most summer weekends. Plenty of room for the kids to run and play in the yard. As mentioned the second floor contains four bedrooms, two facing the bay and have French doors opening to a covered deck overlooking the bay. One has an EnSite bath. The other two bedroom’s face the west and have French doors opening to a 350 sf covered deck. The first floor offers a 600+/- sf game room equipped with a regulation pool table and a luxurious leather sectional for watching TV on the 86 inch TV. 5 bedrooms, 1 King, 3 queens and one twin bunk over full bed provide sleeping for up to 11 guests. The 3rd floor den couch expands to accommodate additional guests and the basement sectional reclines at both ends as well. The large yard provides areas to play outside games including corn hole which is provided. Tow spacious kitchens, one with gas oven on the third floor and a second oven and refrigerator on the first floor for those times you are cooking for a large crew or for prepping meals for the beach. The house has attached, temperature controlled beach storage containing two crab pots, beach chairs, life vests and paddles for the two supplied kayaks. Also , a crab steamer and grill are there if you prefer to cook outside. Saturday mornings during the summer, you can find local grown items at the farmers market on the courthouse green located at Matthews Courthouse. While there, be sure to visit some of the quaint shops to find that unique gift or get a bite to eat at one of the many local restaurants throughout the courthouse area. If this is your first visit stop by the Information Center located next to the library. Also, go to our points of interest in this special town.
Historic Yorktown, Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg are about an hour away. If history is not your thing, a day trip to visit Busch Gardens or Water Country is about the same distance. ***Minimum 7 nights stay last week in May through Labor Day weekend.
