The property features two light-filled bedrooms with a queen bed and a full bed, with wooded and mountain views. An open space plan with a wonderful kitchen and gas range. There is a deck right off of the well-equipped kitchen and dining area for morning coffees and evening meals. Downstairs there is a screen porch with ceiling fans that provides ample space for entertaining and dining as well. A cozy gas fireplace is available for cold nights. Chic and stylishly decorated, the space features original works of art and Moroccan and Berber carpets. A perfect respite after a day of hiking, and a peaceful place to relax, read, and enjoy the tranquil 8 acre setting. Our Cottage is 15 minutes from Sperryville and 30 minutes from Little Washington, and all of the restaurants and amenities. The Old Rag parking area and the Ridge Trail trail head--one of the most popular hikes on the East Coast-- is only a mile down the road. We also have access to Shenandoah National Park and all of its hiking trails. The Cedar Run and Lower White Oak Canyon Falls Trailheads--two of the other best hikes in the park--are only 20 minutes away. You can access these in Etlan via Rt 643, and avoid Skyline Drive and the crowds! The property also fronts several hundred feet of the Hughes river, which offers some of the best fly fishing in the state.
