Summary: This is a home that was built around the 1940's so you are getting character more than the most modern home. We stayed here for our last night of our Alaskan vacation. It is close to downtown and to the airport. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. At first, I was a little nervous about not having A/C in the middle of July. However, I didn't have anything to worry about. The owner has fans in the windows and the room got very cool. We all slept well. She definitely has a green thumb and has a beautiful yard and raised beds! To note, she must live in the home when it is not rented out. The fridge/freezer was full of food. She did have two shelves open for availability to us. Since this was a short stay and we had no plans to cook, it was not a problem. For 3 people, it was great. We stayed upstairs in the two bedrooms. There is a basement with three twin beds (if I remember right) and a bathroom. The steps are a little steep going down into the basement but it is an older home. Overall, comfortable stay and just what we needed for our one night.
